What do you fear most?

The chairman of my previous company overheard a conversation between a few colleagues and myself about ghosts. One lady was mentioning abt how afraid she was when she experienced s'thing eerie. To this, my chairman said, "You have more to fear from the living than the dead! More hurt has been caused by the living than the dead!". I have remembered this comment even tho I heard it abt 10 years ago.

Why bring this up? I visited my brother-in-law today in the hospital after his surgery. I remembered the times when I was really afraid to visit hospitals b'cos of all the nasty and grandmother stories u hear occuring there. Don go if you are sick(Cos your defences are weak and bad spirits may take over yr body), there are spirits roaming everywhere, women with period will attract these spirits etc. Since I have overcome my fears abt hospitals, I began to wonder what do I fear nowadays. Death? Not really as I am one who believes in fate. If your time is up, there ain't nothing you can do abt it!

As I was walking in the hospital, I passed by some patients who had lost an arm or a leg, some patients going around with some machines attached to their bodies and patients being taken care of by their loved ones. Then I realised what I feared. I do not want to be a burden to my family. I have heard stories where life-savings were spent to try and cure sickness but were futile. I have also heard of the stress family members go through taking care of terminally-ill members of family. So I said a silent prayer, if my time is up, just let it be quick!

PS : I also fear Liverpool not winning another league title during my lifetime.

LLT: I never feared the unseen too much ... figured I was far more scary to them then they ever could be to me :))

And your boss has a very interesting point. I concur.

I do realise that now my biggest fear is dying before I get my girls through their first degrees (what a weird thing to fear)

Having said that, in reading the book 'Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting - apparently when we focus on what we fear even subconsciously, the law of attraction then turns our fears into realities - it's all about vibrations :))

So worrying your boys at Anfield are never going to win another title in your life time might be the negative vibe sent out collectively by Kopites which is why your boys are struggling - just a thought ya :)) ... blame the law of attraction not me ...

After my boys, I love your boys! Guides Honour ... but only after my boys yeah eheheheh

Awww... come on! You don look that bad! have some confidence!

Yeah, quite a few mothers I know have the same fears too! All fear they may not be able to provide enuf for their kids. They are willing to sacrifice everything. A fren of mine has not bought new clothes for himself for like 4 or 5years now(even during CNY). But her kids will always be wearing new clothes. Crazy huh?

So if the law of attraction is true, then L'pool fans must hate MU more than u guys do us! Does that mean we shd stop hating MU?
NEVERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Yeah rite! u love my boys! Liar!

judging by the wrath anita gets from her comment on Liverpool, i think it'd be a good idea i reserve mine...muahahahhahhaaa...

hey gavin, chill my man. there's nothing to fear about going to the hospital, unless you're talkin about the ICU. talking through experience, it was the last place i'd rather be before i took my last breath. every single night (and wee hours of the morning) i'll see and hear people passes on. and there i was struggling to hang on. at that point, movin into a normal ward was like the best thing ever happened to me since the ordeal took place.

this hospital topic really depresses me la boss. just cant wait for friday to come, another weekend to let my hair down...hhihi...

if you dont mind anita, i'l handle LLT's ignorance on that little abbreviation stated-

ROTFLMFAO- Roll On The Floor Laughing My (ehem) Furry Ass Off.

i'm afraid of death.. i guess it's the fear of unknown.. and being alone. i cannot stand loneliness. it used to b so bad that i'd rather not eat than eat alone.. no matter where.

sometimes i'll have the thought that what if i'm living an imaginary life and what happens if i stop living in it and all just disappear..? scary thought.. and scary to think of taking my last breath.. i have death issue

Kerp : Sorry if I have made you feel uncomfortable w the topic. It's just that it dawned on me when I was there on Tues. Ok. enuf of that! Like M said, glad u've made it thru your horrendous experience. Next time, I'll blog more abt topics close to your heart, like PORN! Haha!

And smart of u not saying anything abt Liverpool! And dude, abbreviations are meant to be short, not 9 letters long!

By the way , have u guys ever wondered y the word abbreviation is so long when it is used to describe short forms? The wonders of the English language.

Senorita : Now that u've mentioned it, I too am afraid of being alone. Not death, but being alone.

A fren asked me if I wld be afraid if someone pointed a gun at my head. I answered of course I wld. But he said you are not afraid of death, so why fear? I thot for a while and said, maybe it's b'cos I did not anticipate dying that way. Does it make sense? Anyone got a better answer?

Kerp ahhahahaha Furry??? Wait how'd you know I was part hairy Malayalee? - hahahaahahahahahha

LLT: I had meant F=Fat not Furry ... and altho too much info ... I don't need to braid my butt heehehhehehe

ok ok if you insist, I will keep zip on your boys and my boys (eeeks why does this too have a tinge of kinky now???)

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY can you not come any sooner ehehhehe ....

Fear of being alone is rather crippling you know and usually in trying to avoid being 'alone' people end up isolating themselves - me thinks me understands this quite well.

I think no fearing death is because we accept that death is inevitable. It's the circumstance of death. I'd like to die in my sleep whilst still hale and hearty not to be a burden to anyone. But death waits for us almost at every juncture of our lives.

I'd hate to be withdrawing money at the bank and have men with guns rob it and be trigger happy.

I'd hate to on a plane like those folks in 911 - that was totally out of the blue and you KNEW you were going to die because someone else pulled up your card.

But on the 13th Sept 2001, when I was in the underground in Paris and told to get off the train as there was a bomb scare - I thought to myself I don't want to die here and never see my baby again.

Thankfully nothing happened. But I acknowledged that even when I was least ready or prepared to die, my number might be called up and the circumstance would not be how I would like it to be ...

I think my last thoughts would be off all my loved ones, and all the many people who have in some way coloured my life ... even if it's not how I want to go, I'm going to remain smiling, the one trait that does leave people wondering if my marbles are all intact *heehhehe*

Mohan: You mean to go like John Entwistle?

Fer those who didn't read about it, bass player of The Who passed a few years back when he was already 60+ (me thinks).

How?

Found sprawled naked in a Hard Rock Las Vegas suite with several lines of grade A cocaine & a couple of grade AA high class hookers in tow!

Fook yeah, now that's some way to check out! Rock n roll babeeee!

I think my biggest fear at the moment is my children being kidnapped, raped, murdered or cruelly tortured. I can't bear the thought of my babies going through any of those ordeal. It will kill me if any of those things were to happen.

Yea, am glad too. I was given another shot at life, am making the most of it now.

Gavin,

No worries. I’m fine with any topic. Especially porn. Admit it brother, it’s a matter close to everybody’s heart…hehehehe…

Anita,

No idea how the word furry came about but since I wasn’t sure if we could use the F word here, decided to use the former instead. Are we allowed to use the fuck-word here gavin? Or am I the first? Hehehehe….

Ani : If only people could choose the way they want to go, many wld choose in their sleep.

Sha : I understand your fear. It's frightening to hear the amt of kids being kidnapped etc and our police are so helpless to stop it.

AD : Hmmmm.....Sounds like an interesting way to go! I m sure M would love that!

Senorita : I knew u wld come up w s'thing like that! Or it could be dying of heart attack while being penetrated by a gigolo half ur age! Haha!

M : Didn't mean for it to get depressing but we go w d flow.....

Kerp : Anything goes here. The PG-18 ppl here(Mohan, Ani n Senorita) have totally de-virginised my blog!
